Mesh sizes and bushfire protection

We offer 3.5mm aluminium mesh in standard and heavy-duty grades, plus 1.9mm woven or perforated aluminium for finer leaf catch. If you're near bushland or in a BAL zone, our 1.9mm stainless steel ember guard is tested to AS 3959-2018 and AS/NZS 1530.3, covering BAL-12.5 to BAL-FZ with a spread of flame index of 0. That matters inland of the beach where ember risk is real during fire season.

Omega's mix of older terracotta roofs and newer Colorbond means we match your system to what you've got. Gutterguard and Leafguard come in BlueScope Colorbond and polyester powder-coated colours. We fit them to tiled and metal roofs - corrugated, Trimdek, Klip-lok - plus valley kits and solar panel frames so your protection doesn't stop where the roof gets tricky.
